Never been to Grey Fox so I can't give you a first hand head to head. From what I have heard Grey Fox is a more traditional bluegrass fest while Floyd is a bit more wide ranging. This coming year is certainly more bluegrass flavored, but you also have New Monsoon (who had two outstanding sets two years ago) doing two sets this year and Pimps Of Joytime who were the sleeper band from last year and now are pulling a Main Stage set.

Grey Fox is most certainly on my festival bucket list - the only thing that will keep from attending future Floyd Fests is the actual "bucket" event.

Well,.. hopefully you have many more festivals in your future Mando. I have about 3 I want to do this coming year but that will all depend on what vacation time is available. I work in a union shop and we pick vac. by seniority so it'll be a wait and see thing.
I'd like to hit Floydfest, Grey Fox, and Warren Haynes Mountain Jam.
Grey Fox and Mountain Jam are closer in proximity but Floydfest looks like something I really don't want to miss.
Time will tell ; )
Peace
